Presented to a local business or individual, other than the hospitality industry that have shown special consideration for customers, ongoing employee training, high level of community involvement, friendly, honest and approachable service. Presented to a business that, while pursuing its own commercial goals, has also achieved outstanding results in caring for the environment.  Examples of qualifying activities are: reusing or recycling materials and supplies, redesigning products and services and motivating its employees to be more aware of the issues.

Presented to businesses which have been in operation for 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 or 125 and 150 years and meet two of the following criteria: has had the same family name, the same company name, or operated the same type of business.
